Program Testimonials

For me it was a great opportunity to learn about crisis management. The lectures and material were very useful for me. I would like to review with more detail in a short time; I think that it can adapt to our context in Peru.

Taking the course for the TCMI website was very helpful for me to enhance my knowledge in the Tourism Crisis Management field. I got to learn about the steps you should follow in order to be ready for a potential disaster that could affect the tourism sector. My favorite part was reading the case studies and learning from the best practices.

I found this course to be very informative and an excellent addition to my knowledge to date. I have been working with our local emergency operations center since 2002, taken all of the necessary course from Homeland Security and FEMA, and attended numerous hurricane conferences. I leaned how the applications I already have in my crisis arsenal can be tweaked and adopted to other crisis situations such as wildfires, contagious diseases, mass casualty and terrorism.

In April 2011, we invited Lori to participate in local workshops in the Maule Region, one of the areas most affected by the earthquake and tsunami. The experience was highly rewarding for our entrepreneurs and local authorities, becoming a starting point for future actions with TCMI in Chile.

The tourism crisis management certificate course is a fabulous way for tourism professionals to benchmark themselves as well as their crisis preparedness. The course provides a strong theoretical background as well as a good framework for the preparations of an integrated security plan. The practical homework assignments put the new knowledge to a test and will for sure be beneficial to the student as well as his organization.
